Busy Bee Studio
Hi! I’m Lori Koidahl,
Busy Bee Extraordinaire.

I am a high-energy woman always buzzing around taking care of business. This is how the name Busy Bee Studio evolved. A busy bee creating art with beautiful subjects of nature - flowers. When there are flowers, bees are not far away. I also had a life changing moment with a bee the summer I started the studio. The universe is so connected!
I am a Mom of two young boys – Riley and Dylan. My meticulous photo-taking habits set in at the onset of my first son’s birth. I wanted to capture every moment of my kids’ lives and offer them their history in photos. They could relive their first birthday, first day of school, soccer games or piano recitals.

My creative juices started to flow! After leaving PhotoWorks I had some time to spend in nature and take photos (two of my favorite things). I began taking photos of flowers, flowers and more flowers. The photos made their way on to cards for friends and family. The response was so overwhelming a new business was born

Profile
A little background...I was born and raised in the state of Washington and reside in the city of Shoreline. I am a marketing and technology professional by trade and started my own consulting business offering these services. You can read more about that side of me at - http://www.lkunlimited.com.
The photo bug started when I was a kid using my first Polaroid given to me by my Grandma. I graduated to my first SLR given to me by my high school sweetheart (now my husband). As a high school senior I was the photographer and photo editor of my senior annual. In college I took it a step further and signed up for a photography class. Years later I also worked as the web site and IT Director of an online photo-finishing company. I went digital in 2002 and most of my photos are taken with a digital camera. Photography has always been a passion of mine, but I never pursued it beyond a hobby until the Spring of 2004.
